The CAUSE Foundation® is a nonprofit organization created to assist United Airlines Flight Attendants who are unable to work because of injury, illness, or disability.
CAUSE provides short-term financial assistance intended to help bridge the gap until other financial arrangements are in place. Grants are focused on basic living expenses and are awarded through an application process. Since its founding in 1994, CAUSE has provided more than $9.8 million in grants to Flight Attendants in need.
CAUSE stands for Concerned Attendants for a United Support Effort and is funded largely through donations from Flight Attendants.

Flight Attendants experiencing financial hardship because they are unable to work due to injury, illness, or disability can review eligibility information and apply directly through The CAUSE Foundation.
Additional Support
CAUSE also administers the CAUSE Foundation/Berni Schafer Memorial Scholarship, which supports children of deceased United Airlines Flight Attendants pursuing higher education.
